Classic Steak and Eggs Recipe – A British Breakfast Twist for Spring

  • Author: John
  • Total Time: 20 mins
  • Yield: 2 servings

Description

A quick and hearty classic steak and eggs recipe with sizzling steak, perfect sunny-side-up eggs, and diner-style flavor—all done in under 20 minutes.

Ingredients

Pat steaks dry and season with salt and pepper.
Heat a cast iron skillet over medium-high. Add oil and sear steaks for 3–4 minutes per side.
Remove steaks and let them rest for 5–10 minutes.
In another skillet, melt butter over medium-low heat.
Crack eggs into a bowl, then pour into the pan gently.
Cook sunny-side-up eggs until whites are set. Cover briefly to finish tops if needed.
Serve steaks with eggs on the side, add toast or veggies if desired.

Instructions

  1. Mix dry ingredients in a bowl
  2. Add water and knead dough
  3. Spread sauce and toppings on dough
  4. Bake at 220°C for 20-25 minutes

Notes

Use a meat thermometer for ideal doneness (e.g. 135°F for medium-rare).
To make it dairy-free, use oil instead of butter.
Steak can be pre-cooked and reheated for quick weekday meals.
