Dough Ingredients
  • 1 cup whole wheat flour Adds nutty flavor and fiber.
  • 2 tablespoons coconut oil, melted Can substitute melted butter or neutral oil.
  • 1/4 cup coconut sugar Substitute with brown sugar or granulated sugar.
  • 1/2 teaspoon cinnamon
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt
  • 3/4 cup almond milk Any milk works: dairy or plant-based.
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • as needed Cooking spray

Method
 

Preparation
  1. In a bowl, mix the flour, coconut sugar, cinnamon, and salt together.
  2. In another bowl, whisk the almond milk and vanilla extract.
  3. Combine the wet and dry ingredients until a dough forms.
  4. Preheat the air fryer to 350°F (175°C).
  5. Scoop small amounts of the dough and shape them into bites.
  6. Spray the air fryer basket with cooking spray and place the churro bites inside.
  7. Air fry for about 8-10 minutes or until golden brown.
  8. Serve warm and enjoy!

Notes

To keep bites uniform, chill scooped dough before shaping. Store cooled churro bites in an airtight container at room temperature for up to 2 days or freeze for longer storage.
