  • 1 slice slice of bread (white, whole wheat, sourdough, or gluten-free) Use a sturdy bread to hold the egg.
  • 1 piece egg Pasteurized eggs are safer for runny yolks.
  • 1 slice slice of cheese (American, cheddar, Swiss, or your favorite) Sliced cheese melts quickly; shredded works too.
  • to taste Salt and pepper
Optional Toppings
  • sliced avocado For added creaminess.
  • baby spinach For freshness.
  • hot sauce For a spicy kick.
  • chopped herbs For flavor.
  • everything bagel seasoning For extra flavor.

Method
 

Preparation
  1. Preheat the air fryer to 350°F (175°C).
  2. Place the slice of bread in the air fryer basket.
  3. Crack an egg on top of the bread.
  4. Add the slice of cheese on top of the egg.
  5. Season with salt and pepper.
Cooking
  1. Air fry for 5-7 minutes, or until the egg is cooked to your liking and the cheese is melted.
  2. Add any optional toppings and enjoy!

Notes

Store cooled toast in an airtight container in the fridge for up to 2 days. Reheat in the air fryer at 325°F for 2-4 minutes.
