Ingredients
  

For the fried pickles
  • 1 jar Dill pickles (or any type of pickle) Use dill pickle slices for extra tang.
  • 1/2 cup Cornmeal Yellow cornmeal for a traditional texture.
  • 1/2 cup Flour Can use gluten-free flour if desired.
  • 2 large Eggs Beaten for breading.
  • 1/2 cup Breadcrumbs Panko breadcrumbs for extra crunch or regular.
  • 1 teaspoon Salt
  • 1/2 teaspoon Pepper
  • as needed Cooking spray For spraying the air fryer basket.

Method
 

Preparation
  1. Slice the pickles into rounds.
  2. Set up a breading station with three bowls: one with flour, one with beaten eggs, and one with a mix of cornmeal, breadcrumbs, salt, and pepper.
  3. Dip each pickle slice in the flour, then the egg, and finally the breadcrumb mixture.
  4. Preheat the air fryer to 400°F (200°C).
  5. Place the breaded pickles in a single layer in the air fryer basket. Lightly spray with cooking spray.
Cooking
  1. Cook for 10-12 minutes or until they are golden brown and crispy, flipping halfway through.
  2. Serve with your favorite dipping sauce.

Notes

Keep leftovers in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to 3 days. Reheat in the air fryer at 350°F (175°C) for 3 to 5 minutes. Do not store pickles long-term after breading as they do not freeze well.
