Ingredients
  

Pickle ingredients
  • 2 cups Dill pickles (or any type of pickle)
Breading ingredients
  • 1 cup Cornmeal
  • 1/2 cup Flour
  • 2 large Eggs beaten
  • 1 cup Breadcrumbs can swap with crushed crackers
  • 1 teaspoon Salt
  • 1/2 teaspoon Pepper
  • cooking spray Cooking spray for greasing

Method
 

Preparation
  1. Preheat your air fryer to 400°F (200°C).
  2. Slice the pickles into thick slices.
  3. In one bowl, mix cornmeal, flour, salt, and pepper.
  4. In another bowl, beat the eggs.
  5. In a third bowl, place the breadcrumbs.
  6. Dip each pickle slice first in the flour mixture, then in the beaten eggs, and finally in the breadcrumbs.
  7. Spray the air fryer basket with cooking spray and arrange the coated pickle slices in a single layer.
  8. Spray the tops lightly with cooking spray.
  9. Cook for about 10-12 minutes or until golden brown and crispy, flipping halfway through.
  10. Serve warm with your choice of dipping sauce.

Notes

For extra flavor, add some garlic powder or cayenne pepper to the breadcrumb mixture. Make sure to cut the pickle slices thick enough for the best crunch. Don’t overcrowd the air fryer basket.
