Preparation
- Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C).
- In a large bowl, toss the sliced apples with sugar and cinnamon. Place the mixture in a greased baking dish.
Making the Crumble
- In another bowl, mix oats, flour, brown sugar, melted butter, and salt until crumbly.
- Spread the crumble mixture over the apples.
Baking
- Bake for 30-35 minutes or until the top is golden and the apples are tender.
- Serve warm, optionally with ice cream.
Notes
Store leftovers by covering the dish with plastic wrap or transfer to an airtight container; it will keep in the fridge for up to 5 days. For freezing, assemble unbaked, and bake directly from the freezer, adding extra time.
