Ingredients for the Reaction
  • 1 cup Baking soda Adjust quantity for more fizz.
  • 1 cup Vinegar (white or apple cider) You can substitute apple cider vinegar for white vinegar.

  • 4 pieces Small clear plastic cups or a muffin tin Use these to contain the reaction.

Method
 

Preparing the Reaction
  1. Place a small amount of baking soda in the cups or muffin tin.
  2. Slowly add vinegar to the baking soda.
  3. Watch the reaction create fizz and bubbles like fireworks!

Notes

For extended fizzing, use a larger amount of baking soda. Pour vinegar slowly for a steadier reaction. Add food coloring for colorful effects. Supervise younger children during the activity for safety. Avoid mixing other chemicals.
