Ingredients
  

For the reaction
  • 1 cup Baking soda
  • 1 cup Vinegar Apple cider vinegar can be used for a different effect.
  • Food coloring (optional) Use for a colorful effect.
Equipment
  • 1 Small plastic cup or baking dish Container for the reaction.
  • 1 Tray To catch spills.

Method
 

Preparation
  1. Find a suitable area for your volcano, preferably outdoors or over a tray to catch spills.
  2. Pour a generous amount of baking soda into your container.
  3. If using food coloring, add a few drops to the baking soda.
  4. Slowly pour vinegar over the baking soda and watch the magic unfold.
  5. Stand back and enjoy the fizzy eruption. Repeat as desired!

Notes

Always supervise kids during the activity to ensure safety and help manage spills! Experiment with different containers for varied eruption effects. For added fun, create a 'volcano' out of clay around the container for a better visual effect.
