  • 1/4 cup balsamic vinegar
  • 2 tablespoons honey Adjust to taste for sweetness.
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil
  • 1 teaspoon garlic, minced
  • 1 teaspoon dried herbs Such as thyme or rosemary; fresh herbs can also be used.

Method
 

Preparation
  1. Preheat the oven to 400°F (200°C).
  2. In a bowl, whisk together balsamic vinegar, honey, olive oil, garlic, herbs, salt, and pepper.
  3. Place chicken breasts in a baking dish and pour the marinade over them, making sure they are well coated.
Cooking
  1. Bake for 25-30 minutes or until chicken is cooked through and juices run clear.
  2. Let rest for a few minutes before slicing and serving.

Notes

Make sure your chicken reaches an internal temperature of 165°F for safety. For deeper flavor, consider marinating the chicken for a couple of hours or overnight. Variations can include adding a splash of orange juice or a pinch of red pepper flakes.
