- Cook macaroni according to package instructions; drain and set aside.
- In a saucepan, melt butter over medium heat. Stir in flour and cook for 1-2 minutes until bubbly.
- Gradually whisk in milk and continue cooking until the mixture thickens.
- Stir in the Buffalo sauce and shredded cheddar cheese until melted and smooth.
- Add the shredded chicken and cooked macaroni to the cheese sauce; mix until well coated.
- Season with garlic powder, salt, and pepper to taste.
- Serve hot, garnished with chopped green onions if desired.
