Cooking Onions
- Heat the butter and olive oil in a large skillet over medium heat.
- Add the sliced onions and half of the kosher salt.
- Cook gently, stirring often, for about 20-30 minutes, until the onions are soft and begin to caramelize.
- Add the remaining salt and continue cooking for an additional 10-15 minutes, stirring until the onions are deep golden brown.
- Remove from heat and use as desired.
