  • 4 cups cooked chicken, shredded
  • 2 cups ham, diced
  • 2 cups Swiss cheese, shredded
  • 1 cup breadcrumbs Use panko or crushed crackers for extra crunch, if preferred.
  • 1 cup milk
  • 1/2 cup chicken broth
  • 1/4 cup Dijon mustard
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • to taste Salt and pepper
  • 2 tablespoons fresh parsley, chopped For garnish

Method
 

Preparation
  1. Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. In a large bowl, combine the cooked chicken, diced ham, and 1 cup of Swiss cheese.
  3. In another bowl, whisk together the milk, chicken broth, Dijon mustard, garlic powder, salt, and pepper until well blended.
  4. Pour the milk mixture over the chicken and ham mixture, stirring to combine it all.
  5. Transfer the mixture to a greased 9x13 inch baking dish, spreading it evenly.
  6. Top with the remaining Swiss cheese and sprinkle the breadcrumbs evenly over the top.
Baking
  1. Bake for 30-35 minutes or until the top is golden brown and the casserole is bubbly.
  2. Let cool for a few minutes before garnishing with fresh parsley and serving.

Notes

This casserole pairs beautifully with a fresh green salad or steamed broccoli. Feel free to substitute ingredients as desired or based on availability.
