Ingredients
  

Main Ingredients
  • 3 pieces ripe bananas, mashed The riper, the better!
  • 1/3 cup melted butter
  • 1 teaspoon baking soda
  • 1 pinch salt
  • 3/4 cup sugar Can substitute with brown sugar.
  • 1 large egg, beaten
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1 1/2 cups all-purpose flour Can substitute half with whole wheat flour.
  • 1/2 cup chocolate chips Optional: sprinkle on top before baking.

Method
 

Preparation
  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. In a mixing bowl, mash the ripe bananas with a fork until smooth.
  3. Stir in the melted butter until well combined.
  4. Mix in the baking soda and a pinch of salt.
  5. Stir in the sugar, beaten egg, and vanilla extract.
  6. Fold in the flour and chocolate chips until just incorporated.
  7. Pour the batter into a greased 4×8 inch loaf pan.
Baking
  1. Bake for 60-65 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted into the center comes out clean.
  2. Let it cool before slicing.

Notes

Store in an airtight container at room temperature for up to three days. Can freeze tightly wrapped for up to three months. Thaw at room temperature or microwave for a quick warm-up. Don't overmix the batter for a fluffy texture.
