Preparation
- Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C).
- In a skillet, cook the bacon until it's crispy, then crumble it into bite-sized pieces.
- In a large bowl, whisk together the eggs, milk, salt, and pepper until well combined.
- Lightly grease a casserole dish and layer the frozen hash browns evenly at the bottom.
- Sprinkle the crumbled bacon and shredded cheese over the hash browns.
- Pour the egg mixture over the layered ingredients, making sure it covers everything evenly.
- Bake for 25-30 minutes, or until the eggs are set and the top is beautifully golden.
- Let the casserole cool slightly, garnish with green onions if desired, and serve warm.
Notes
Store leftovers in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to 3 days. To reheat, microwave for about 2-3 minutes or warm in the oven at 350°F until heated through. Casserole can also be frozen for up to a month.
