Preparation
- Slice chicken breasts in half horizontally or pound them to an even thickness. Season with salt, pepper, and Italian seasoning.
Cooking
- Heat olive oil in a skillet over medium heat. Sear chicken until golden and cooked through, about 4–5 minutes per side.
- Remove the chicken from the skillet. Lower the heat, add butter and garlic, and sauté until fragrant.
- Pour in the cream and stir to deglaze the pan, scraping up any tasty bits. Add the Parmesan cheese and simmer until the sauce thickens.
- Return the chicken to the skillet, simmering for another 2–3 minutes to ensure it’s heated through and well-coated with the sauce.
Notes
Pairs well with buttery noodles, fluffy mashed potatoes, or a fresh green salad. Store leftovers in an airtight container in the fridge for up to three days, or freeze for up to three months.
