Method
Cooking the Pasta
- Boil salted water in a large pot and cook the pasta according to package instructions until al dente. Drain and set aside.
Making the Sauce
- In a large skillet, heat the olive oil over medium heat. Sauté the minced garlic until it turns golden brown and fragrant—about 2 minutes.
- Add the diced tomatoes along with salt and pepper. Let it simmer for about 5 minutes.
- Lower the heat and stir in the heavy cream until it’s well blended.
Combining and Serving
- Toss the cooked pasta in the sauce until equally coated.
- Serve topped with fresh basil and sprinkle of grated Parmesan cheese if desired.
