Ingredients
  

For the dough
  • 1 cup all-purpose flour Can substitute with gluten-free flour blend.
  • 1/2 cup water
  • 1/4 cup unsalted butter Can substitute with coconut oil for dairy-free option.
  • 1 tablespoon sugar
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt
  • 1/2 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 2 pieces eggs
For coating
  • 1/2 cup sugar
  • 1 teaspoon cinnamon
Miscellaneous
  • 1 spray Cooking spray Non-stick cooking spray for air fryer.

Method
 

Preparation
  1. In a saucepan, combine water, butter, sugar, and salt. Bring to a boil.
  2. Remove from heat and stir in flour until it forms a ball.
  3. Let it cool slightly, then mix in eggs one at a time until well blended.
Cooking
  1. Preheat the air fryer to 375°F (190°C).
  2. Transfer the dough to a piping bag with a star tip.
  3. Pipe small bites onto parchment paper and freeze for about 15 minutes.
  4. Spray the air fryer basket with cooking spray, then arrange churro bites in a single layer.
  5. Cook for 8-10 minutes until golden brown.
Finishing Touch
  1. In a bowl, mix sugar and cinnamon.
  2. Toss the churro bites in the cinnamon sugar mixture before serving.

Notes

Serve with warm chocolate sauce for dipping, or alongside vanilla ice cream. Can be stored in an airtight container for up to two days at room temperature or frozen before baking.
