Ingredients
  

For the Cheesecake Filling
  • 8 oz cream cheese, softened
  • 1/2 cup sugar can be adjusted to taste
  • 1 tsp vanilla extract
For Assembling Xango
  • 4 large flour tortillas
For Frying
  • 2 cups vegetable oil for deep frying
Optional Additions
  • 1 banana sliced for banana caramel Xango
  • 1 cup melted chocolate for drizzling
  • 1/2 cup caramel sauce for drizzling
  • 1/4 cup cinnamon sugar for dusting

Method
 

Prepare Cheesecake Filling
  1. Blend softened cream cheese, sugar, and vanilla extract until smooth.
Assemble the Xango
  1. Place the cheesecake filling in the center of a tortilla.
  2. Fold the tortilla tightly like a burrito and secure it with a toothpick.
Frying
  1. Heat oil in a deep fryer or large skillet to around 350°F (175°C).
  2. Fry the filled tortillas until golden brown.
  3. Remove and drain on paper towels, then dust with cinnamon sugar while still warm.
Baking Option
  1. Preheat the oven to 375°F (190°C).
  2. Brush tortillas with melted butter and bake for 12-15 minutes.

Notes

Serve immediately for the best taste and texture. Xango can also be made with various fillings and toppings for customization.
