  • 1/3 cup melted butter
  • 1 teaspoon baking soda
  • Pinch salt

Method

Preparation
  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. In a mixing bowl, mash the ripe bananas with a fork until smooth.
  3. Stir in the melted butter until combined.
  4. Mix in the baking soda and a pinch of salt.
  5. Add the sugar, beaten egg, and vanilla extract, and mix well until fully incorporated.
  6. Finally, stir in the all-purpose flour until just combined. Avoid over-mixing to keep the loaf tender.
  7. Pour the batter into a greased loaf pan, smoothing the top.
  8. Bake for 50-60 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted into the center comes out clean.
  9. Let it cool in the pan for a few minutes, then transfer it to a wire rack to cool completely.

Notes

For best results, use very ripe bananas. You can add chocolate chips, nuts, or spices for variations. Store in an airtight container for up to 3 days or freeze for up to 3 months.
