  • 1/2 cup vinegar (white or apple cider) Can substitute with flavored vinegars.

Method
 

Preparation
  1. Pour the granulated sugar into an even layer in your shallow dish or tray.
  2. In a separate bowl, mix the vinegar with a few drops of food coloring until you achieve your desired hue.
  3. Carefully drizzle the colored vinegar over the sugar.
  4. For an extra pop, sprinkle a little baking soda on top of the mixture.
  5. Stand back and enjoy as the sugar and vinegar react to create a fun fizzing and bubbling display!

Notes

Best enjoyed fresh as the reaction will not last over time. Store any leftovers covered in a cool, dry place until ready for reuse. Use baking paper underneath to avoid mess.
