For the Fireworks Display
  • 1 jar Clear jar or glass Use a clear jar with smooth sides for the best viewing experience.
  • 1 cup Water Fill the jar or glass with water.
  • 2-3 tablespoons Oil Any light cooking oil such as vegetable or olive oil.
  • a few drops Food coloring Use vibrant food coloring for best results.

Method
 

Creating the Fireworks
  1. Fill a clear jar or glass with water.
  2. In a separate container, mix a few tablespoons of oil with food coloring.
  3. Slowly pour the oil mixture into the water and watch the colors burst like fireworks!

Notes

Experiment with different colors and combinations to create your unique fireworks! Consider adding glitter for extra magic, or natural dyes for an organic approach. This display is best enjoyed fresh; however, the oil and food coloring mixture can be stored in a sealed container for reuse.
