Method
 

Preparation
  1. Preheat your oven to 200°F (93°C) and line your baking sheets with parchment paper.
  2. In small bowls, take a cup of granulated sugar and add a few drops of food coloring. Use a spoon to mix thoroughly until the sugar is uniformly colored.
  3. Spread the colored sugar across the prepared baking sheets in a thin layer.
  4. Bake for about 10 minutes to set the colors, keeping an eye on them to prevent burning.
  5. Once done, let them cool completely before using or storing.

Notes

Store leftover sugars in an airtight container in a cool, dry place. They should last several months.
