  • 1 marker A marker or pen for tracing For tracing the stencil design.
  • 1 light A candle or LED light for illumination To light up your carved pumpkin.

Method
 

Preparation
  1. Choose a medium to large pumpkin that has a smooth surface for easy carving.
  2. Clean your pumpkin by washing it with soap and water. Dry it thoroughly.
  3. Cut off the top of the pumpkin and scoop out all the seeds and pulp using a pumpkin scooper.
  4. Print out the Ghost Cat pumpkin carving stencil. You may need to adjust the size to fit your pumpkin.
  5. Place the stencil against the pumpkin and secure it with a small piece of tape if necessary.
  6. Using a marker or pen, trace the design onto the pumpkin’s surface. Make sure to press firmly so the design transfers well.
Carving
  1. Carefully carve along your traced lines using the carving knife from your pumpkin carving kit. Take your time to ensure clean edges.
  2. Once all the carving is complete, remove the stencil and clean up any pumpkin pulp.
  3. Place a candle or LED light inside the pumpkin to illuminate your creation.

Notes

To preserve your carved pumpkin, keep it in a cool, dry place and apply petroleum jelly to the carved edges.
