Ingredients

Craft Supplies
  • 1 unit Empty glass jars (mason jars work great!)
  • 1 bottle Glitter in various colors
  • 1 bottle Clear glue or Mod Podge
  • 2 parts Water Use in mixture with glue.
  • a few drops Food coloring (optional) To change the color of the water.
  • assorted Small items for layering (like stars, beads, or small toys)

Method

Preparation
  1. Start by cleaning your jars thoroughly and ensuring they are dry before using them.
  2. In a bowl, mix together clear glue and water. The ratio is about 1 part glue to 2 parts water. Add a few drops of food coloring if you want to change the color of the water.
  3. Pour a layer of glitter into the jar, followed by a layer of your glue-water mixture. You can alternate layers to create different designs.
  4. Feel free to add small items like stars or beads to give your jars even more personality.
  5. Once you have your desired look, seal the jar tightly. For an added touch, consider gluing the lid on for little hands that might want to shake it later.
  6. Display your jars in a window or use them as table centerpieces.

Notes

These jars shine brightest in well-lit areas and can be used as centerpieces or decorative accents throughout your home. Ensure all small items are securely placed to avoid choking hazards for children. Experiment with colors and jars for unique displays.
