  • 1 pound ground beef Use lean ground beef for a healthier option.
  • 1 large onion, sliced Sauté until caramelized for extra flavor.
  • Salt and pepper to taste Add seasoning during cooking.
  • Cheese (provolone or Cheez Whiz) Feel free to use mozzarella, Swiss, or pepper jack.
  • 4 pieces hoagie rolls Toast for added crunch.
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil for sautéing

Method
 

Cooking Instructions
  1. Heat olive oil in a skillet over medium heat.
  2. Add sliced onions and cook until soft.
  3. Add ground beef, season with salt and pepper, and cook until browned.
  4. Place cheese on top of the beef and cover the skillet to melt.
  5. Toast the hoagie rolls.
  6. Fill the rolls with the beef and onion mixture, and serve hot.

Notes

For a richer flavor, add Worcestershire sauce during cooking. Always cover the skillet to help the cheese melt thoroughly. Serve warm with a side of fries or salad.
