Ingredients
  

For the pizza pockets
  • 1 package pizza dough
  • 1 cup pepperoni slices Can be substituted with veggies or sausage
  • 1 cup shredded mozzarella cheese Can substitute with any available cheese
  • 1/2 cup pizza sauce
  • 1 tablespoon olive oil For brushing tops
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1 teaspoon Italian seasoning
  • for dusting Flour

Method
 

Preparation
  1. Preheat the oven to 400°F (200°C).
  2. Roll out the pizza dough on a floured surface to about 1/4 inch thick.
  3. Cut the dough into rectangles (about 4×5 inches).
  4. Place a tablespoon of pizza sauce on one half of each rectangle.
  5. Add a layer of pepperoni slices and a generous amount of mozzarella cheese on top of the sauce.
  6. Fold the dough over to create a pocket and seal the edges tightly with a fork.
  7. Brush the tops with olive oil and sprinkle with garlic powder and Italian seasoning.
  8. Place the pockets on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper.
Baking
  1. Bake for 15-20 minutes or until golden brown.
  2. Let cool slightly before serving.

Notes

Best served with a side salad or extra pizza sauce for dipping. Store leftovers in an airtight container in the fridge for up to three days, or freeze for up to three months.
