Preparation
- Preheat the oven to 425°F (220°C).
- On a lightly floured surface, roll out the pizza dough and cut it into squares or circles.
- Place a spoonful of pizza sauce, a few slices of pepperoni, and a sprinkle of mozzarella cheese in the center of each dough piece.
- Fold the dough over to form pockets and press the edges to seal.
- Place the pockets on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper.
- Beat the egg and brush it over the tops of the pockets for a golden finish.
- Sprinkle with Italian seasoning if desired.
Baking
- Bake for 12-15 minutes or until golden brown.
- Serve warm with extra pizza sauce for dipping.
Notes
Make sure to keep an eye on them while they’re baking; the last thing you want is for them to over-brown. Store leftovers in an airtight container in the fridge for about three days.
