Ingredients
  

Noodles and Cheese
  • 12 oz Lasagna noodles Can use no-boil lasagna noodles for convenience.
  • 15 oz Ricotta cheese
  • 16 oz Mozzarella cheese Shredded
  • 8 oz Parmesan cheese Grated
Sauce and Meat
  • 24 oz Marinara sauce
  • 1 lb Ground beef Can substitute with turkey or plant-based meat.
Seasoning and Aromatics
  • 1 Italian seasoning
  • 2 Garlic cloves Minced
  • 1 medium Onion Chopped
  • 1 tsp Salt
  • 1 tsp Pepper

Method
 

Preparation
  1. Brown the ground beef (or sausage) with chopped onions and garlic in a pan. Be sure to drain excess fat.
  2. In a slow cooker, layer ingredients: start with marinara sauce, then add broken lasagna noodles, ricotta cheese, mozzarella cheese, and the browned meat mixture. Repeat until all ingredients are used, finishing with mozzarella on top.
  3. Sprinkle Italian seasoning, salt, and pepper over the layers.
Cooking
  1. Cover and cook on low for about 4-6 hours until noodles are tender and cheese is melted.
  2. Let the dish cool for a few minutes before serving to let flavors settle.

Notes

Store leftovers in the fridge for up to four days or freeze individual portions. Use foil or an airtight container for storage.
