For the casserole
  • 12 oz Egg Noodles Cook according to package instructions.
  • 1 lb Ground Beef Can substitute with ground turkey or a meat alternative.
  • 1 cup Sour Cream For creaminess.
  • 1 cup Cheese Cheddar or mozzarella work best.
  • 1 medium Onion, finely chopped
  • 2 cloves Garlic, minced
  • to taste Salt and Pepper
  • to taste Seasonings Italian herbs or paprika recommended.

Preparation
  1. Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. Cook the egg noodles according to the package instructions; drain and set aside.
  3. In a skillet, brown the ground beef with chopped onion and minced garlic until fully cooked; drain excess fat.
  4. In a bowl, mix together sour cream, cheese, salt, pepper, and any additional seasonings you desire.
Assembly and Baking
  1. In a baking dish, layer half of the cooked noodles, followed by the beef mixture, then the sour cream mixture.
  2. Top with the remaining noodles and sprinkle extra cheese on top.
  3. Bake for 25-30 minutes or until the top is golden and bubbly.
  4. Let cool slightly before serving.

Notes

Pairs well with a green salad or roasted veggies. Consider adding parsley or green onions for garnish.
