Ingredients

Main Ingredients
  • 1 cup Sugar Granulated white sugar works best.
  • 1/2 cup Butter Unsalted butter is recommended.
  • 2 teaspoons Vanilla extract Or any other flavor extracts of your choice.
  • 1/2 cup Cream or milk Heavy cream for a richer sauce or almond milk for lighter options.

Method

Preparation
  1. In a medium saucepan, melt together the butter and sugar over medium heat until smooth. Stir gently to avoid any crystallization.
  2. Remove from heat and whisk in the vanilla extract. If you’re adding any other flavors, this is the time to mix them in!
  3. Slowly stir in the cream until combined, allowing it to delightfully thicken.
  4. Allow to cool slightly before using—you want it warm, but not scorching.

Notes

This sauce stores beautifully in an airtight container in the fridge for up to a week. Warm gently on the stovetop or microwave before serving. You can freeze it in an ice cube tray for easy treats anytime.
