Preparation
- Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease and flour three 9-inch round cake pans.
- In a large bowl, combine the flour, sugar, cocoa powder, baking powder, baking soda, and salt.
- Add the eggs, milk, vegetable oil, and vanilla extract. Beat on medium speed for 2 minutes, then stir in the boiling water until well mixed.
- Divide the batter evenly among the prepared cake pans.
Baking
- Bake for 30-35 minutes or until a toothpick inserted in the center comes out clean.
- Allow the cakes to cool in the pans for 10 minutes, then transfer them to wire racks to cool completely.
Assembly
- Once cooled, spread a layer of strawberry jam on top of one cake layer, then add some sliced strawberries.
- Place the second cake layer on top and repeat the process.
- For the frosting, beat together the softened cream cheese and butter until smooth.
- Gradually add the powdered sugar, then mix in the vanilla extract and pureed strawberries until well combined.
- Frost the top and sides of the assembled cake. Decorate with additional fresh strawberries as desired.
- Finally, slice it up, serve, and enjoy!

This cake can be served with vanilla ice cream or whipped cream. To keep the cake fresh, store in an airtight container.
