Method
 

Preparation
  1. Line a baking tray with parchment paper.
  2. Pour granulated sugar onto the tray in small mounds, leaving space between each.
  3. Use a dropper or spoon to place drops of food coloring on each sugar mound.
  4. Slowly pour a small amount of white vinegar over each sugar mound and watch the reaction.
  5. Enjoy the bubbly spectacle, and encourage everyone to mix colors!

Notes

Supervise children during the pouring for safety. The reaction is best enjoyed fresh, but leftovers can be stored in an airtight container for up to a week. Always wear protective eyewear when experimenting.
